Know where your Microsoft 365 stands. In plain English.
A practical check of who can sign in and how, your admin accounts, email protection, devices and file sharing. Then a clear list of what to fix first, with time estimates.
RME Solutions is a Microsoft and Cloudflare partner. “Aligned with” means we follow these frameworks’ guidance. It isn’t a certification.
01 Scope
Five areas, checked properly.
The checks are aligned with the ACSC Essential Eight and Microsoft’s own security baselines. These are the places trouble usually starts.
- Sign-in
- Who can sign in and how: multi-factor coverage, Conditional Access, and older sign-in methods that may still be open.
- Admin accounts
- Who holds admin roles, whether they still need them, how admins sign in, and your emergency access accounts.
- Email protection
- Phishing and malware filtering, SPF, DKIM and DMARC on your domains, and mail quietly forwarding outside.
- Devices
- Which devices reach your data, whether they’re managed and compliant, encrypted and up to date.
- File sharing
- External sharing in SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams, guest access, and “anyone with the link” links.
02 The report
What you get at the end.
A plain-English report you can hand to your board, your IT person or us. No jargon wall, no 200-page export.
What’s fine
The settings that are already doing their job, so you can stop worrying about them.
What’s risky
Each gap explained simply: what it is, why it matters to you, and how likely it is to bite.
What to fix first
An ordered list with time estimates, so you can plan the work and budget for it.
03 How it runs
From first call to fix list.
Intro call
Thirty minutes on Teams, free and with no obligation. We tell you what we’d check, what it would take, and whether a full assessment is worth it for you.
Agree scope
If it makes sense, you get a written quote first. Nothing starts until you’ve said yes.
Check
We review the five areas against the Essential Eight and Microsoft’s baselines. We look, we don’t change.
Report
You get the report and we walk you through it. Fix it yourselves, with us, or a mix. Your call.
04 Straight answers
What it is, and what it isn’t.
It is
- A practical review of how your Microsoft 365 is set up today
- Aligned with the ACSC Essential Eight and Microsoft’s security baselines
- A prioritised fix list you can act on
It isn’t
- A certification, or an audit sign-off
- A penetration test
- A sales pitch for licences you don’t need
How much does it cost?
The intro call is free. If a full assessment makes sense for you, we quote it in writing before any work starts. The price depends on the size of your tenant.
Who is it for?
Any organisation running Microsoft 365 that wants an honest outside view, whether you have an IT team, an IT person, or nobody in particular.
What access do you need?
We agree that on the intro call. We ask for the least access the checks need, and you can remove it as soon as we’re done.
Do we have to use you for the fixes?
No. The report is yours. Plenty of fixes are settings you already pay for, and your own team may be able to do them.
